Ageless Grace: Exercises for the Body and Mind
Ageless Grace® is a fitness and wellness program created by Denise Medved, that consists of “21 simple Tools for Lifelong Comfort and Ease.” Based on the science of neuroplasticity, it is a seated fitness program that seriously works the core, all 5 areas of the brain, and 21 different “aging factors” in the body! All ages and abilities benefit and have fun getting fit!
Each of the Tools addresses a different brain/body factor, such as joint mobility, spinal flexibility, balance, right-left brain coordination, kinesthetic learning, cognitive function, systemic health, self-esteem, confidence and playfulness. All 21 tools stimulate and utilize the five areas of the brain by re-opening the neural pathways that were created from the time you were born until approximately the age of 21 years old, and also creating new neural pathways – which is vital to active aging and youthful function!
The movement Tools of Ageless Grace® are organic rather than choreographed, and focus on using the core to stimulate physical strength and cognitive function simultaneously. Ageless Grace exercises are practiced using a chair for stability and range of motion, and to increase core strength and spinal flexibility. They can be practiced at home and are even more fun in classes.
