Dance for Parkinson’s (Newnan)

The School at the Mark Morris Dance CenterThe Dance for Parkinson’s program is built on one fundamental premise: professionally-trained dancers are movement experts whose knowledge is useful to persons with PD.

This class–based on the Dance for PD® program developed by the Mark Morris Dance Group in New York–is an aesthetic experience that uses the elements of narrative, imagery, music and community to develop artistry and grace while addressing such PD-specific concerns as balance, flexibility, coordination, isolation and depression.

We are proud to welcome Paulo Manso de Sousa and Southern Arc Dance to the PD Gladiators Metro Atlanta Fitness Network and help bring this amazing program to the PD community in Newnan and surrounds.
