Line Dance for Parkinson’s

Line dancing is a great way to kick up your heels and enjoy life! In line dance, we move to choreographed dances with repeated sequencing of steps. The steps are simple, accessible and most of all fun.  There’s no experience necessary, just a desire to let loose and have fun.

This line dance class is geared to people living with Parkinson’s and dances will be appropriate for this audience. Although this is a standing dance class, balance bars are available for those who desire them. While dancing, you’ll be able to improve posture, enhance range of motion, strengthen muscles, foster brain-body coordination, increase balance and stability, gain aerobic benefits, and much more.

If you want to have fun, get exercise, dance with your friends and learn a few handy moves to take with you anywhere, this would be the class for you. You never need a partner for this type of dancing but feel free to bring all your friends. Care partners are encouraged to attend and get all these wonderful benefits as well.

Be prepared to laugh, move, feel your rhythm, and free the dancer in you.

“Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just dance however you can. Great dancers are great because of their passion.“–Martha Graham
