Ageless Grace (Maureen McCord – Johns Creek)
The Cohen Home hosts this Ageless Grace® class every second and fourth Thursday of the month for their residents, but nonresidents with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners of all ages are welcome!

Maureen received her certification to teach Ageless Grace® classes with emphasis on people with Parkinson’s Disease in October 2014. She is a transplant from Michigan and has lived in Atlanta since 1980. She has been a personal trainer and aerobic instructor since 2002. She specializes in training older adults and is a Movement Disorder Trained provider (MDT). Certifications include AFAA Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, and Healthcare Dimensions SilverSneakers.
When: Usually, second and fourth Thursday of every month, 11am – 12pm
Where: The Cohen Home, 10485 Jones Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022
Cost: $5 per class (participants can purchase multi-class packages, for convenience–please bring cash or a check to class for payment). The first class is free if you want to try it out!
Eligibility: This class is appropriate for people with Parkinson’s disease whether or not they require assistive devices to stand or walk. The exercises can be done standing or seated. Care partners, friends and family are encouraged to join the classes.
Safety: This Ageless Grace® classes has not been modified for Parkinson’s patients, but the slow, gentle movements hold little risk for injury. Instructor Maureen McCord has completed the “Community Exercise for People with Parkinson’s Disease” course presented by MDT Education Solutions.
Registration/Reservations: No registration or reservations necessary for your two free trial classes. We recommend contacting PD Gladiators or the instructor (or checking the Online Scheduler‘s CLASSES tab) to confirm the class you wish to attend has not been cancelled for the day.
