Ageless Grace – Lori Trachtenberg (Brookhaven/Buckhead/Vinings)
Instructor: Lori Trachtenberg, Certified Ageless Grace® Educator, 678-575-5437 or Ltrachtenberg@bellsouth.net
Lori has a lifetime of experience using exercise as a tool for managing health issues. After working in the Healthcare technology industry for over 16 years, she has shifted her focus from the computer to the person. Her passion is helping people with chronic health conditions implement tools and techniques that allow their bodies, minds, and spirits to function to their greatest potential with grace, ease, and joy. Ageless Grace is a perfect fit to achieve these goals.
Lori fell in love with Atlanta while getting her undergraduate degree at Emory University. She returned “home” after getting her MHA at University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. In addition to being an Ageless Grace® educator, Lori is also a Movement Disorders Trained provider (MDT) and has several other health and wellness certifications.
Eligibility: Lori’s Ageless Grace® classes are open to the general population and are appropriate for people with Parkinson’s disease whether or not they require assistive devices to stand or walk. The Vinings class is for Kaiser Permanente members only. The exercises can be done standing or seated. Care partners, friends and family are encouraged to join the classes.
Safety: These Ageless Grace® classes have not been modified for Parkinson’s patients, but the slow, gentle movements hold little risk for injury. Instructor Lori Trachtenberg has completed the “Community Exercise for People with Parkinson’s Disease” course presented by MDT Education Solutions.
